Warner Larson is excited to team up with Nitsch Engineering on the Kennedy Street Green Infrastructure Streetscape Project — Located along the 100 block of Kennedy Street NW in Washington D.C. This project is the second phase of the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority’s Green Infrastructure Challenge. A competition to encourage and support the DC Water’s plan to address combined sewer overflows through innovative green infrastructure that will capture and treat stormwater.
The goal of this project is to integrate green infrastructure into the streetscape to enhance green space and provide community amenities while capturing and treating stormwater runoff. The project is anticipated to be constructed in coordination with the District Department of Transportation’s (DDOT) upcoming streetscape improvement work on Kennedy Street, NW, with a projected completion date in spring/summer 2016.
