Our vision for Harbor-Link Gardens is to beautify this important connection between the Rose Kennedy Greenway and the South Boston Seaport/Innovation District. The Old Northern Avenue Bridge, a treasured relic from Boston’s industrial past owned by the City of Boston, is also a vital link in the Harborwalk that exists at the adjacent edges of the Harbor and Fort Point Channel.
Through this project, The Boston Harbor Association will work with urban youths to help foster a better understanding of urban horticulture and design. TBHA will provide opportunities for the young people to meet and hear from the landscape architect, design professionals, and nursery staff and to participate in the ongoing care of the plantings.
