Warner Larson’s recent collaboration with Boston’s Schoolyard Initiative has been getting lots of visibility. The project was featured at the recent Build Boston Conference as part of a workshop on “Designing Outdoor Learning and Play Environments” and was also recently featured on Landscape Online’s website.
The project involved transforming an asphalt parking lot into a brand new schoolyard and outdoor classroom. Taking inspiration from the Harbor Islands the project incorporates a maritime theme that includes educational and sustainable elements. The project has proved to be successful provoking a sense of excitement from all those who experience the new space.
