The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation commissioned Warner Larson in January 2016 to inventory and evaluate playgrounds and hard courts throughout the state. Park features and their condition will be documented in a GIS database collector.
Warner Larson retained Nancy White, CPSI with Playground Inspections of New England for playground safety and accessibility evaluation.
The geo-spatial database along with the evaluation and recommendations will enable strategic use of funding to focus maintenance, repairs and renovations on the greatest needs.
