The Clyde Brown Elementary School in Milford won a 2020 national design award from the American School & University Magazine. Warner Larson Landscape Architects alongside Tappe Architects was awarded a Citation Design for the elementary school category. “Good solution on a tough site. Great exterior courtyards. Commons areas are very student-centered.” comments the 2020 jury. Warner Larson created multiple outdoor classrooms and play areas for different age groups and abilities while preserving an existing bandstand and incorporating several mature trees into the site design. Warner Larson is very excited to be recognized for this innovative project in collaboration with Tappe Architects.
